On November 23rd, 2023, the picturesque Hensol Castle played host to the highly
anticipated Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Awards ceremony, where Therapies4Services proudly received the Gold ERS Award. This prestigious accolade recognises our exceptional commitment to supporting the armed forces community.
The glittering evening began with a lively drinks reception, setting the tone for a night of celebration and recognition. Guests were serenaded by the talented Cerys Rees, regimental harpist of the 3rd Battalion The Royal Welsh, whose enchanting melodies added a touch of elegance to the event. The Band of the Prince of Wales also graced the evening, providing a captivating musical backdrop that delighted all attendees.
Sian Lloyd served as the evening's compère, guiding the audience through the ceremony with her signature charm and poise. Hannah Blythyn MS, Deputy Minister for Social Partnership, delivered a warm welcome address, highlighting the significance of the awards and the importance of supporting the armed forces.
Brigadier Nick Thomas CBE, Commander of the 160th (Welsh) Brigade and Head of the Army in Wales, opened the ceremony with a stirring address, emphasising the crucial role that organisations like Therapies4Services play in fostering a supportive environment for service members and their families.
The keynote address was delivered by Rear Admiral Steven McCarthy, Ships Director of Operations and Capability Integration at Defence Equipment and Support. His insightful speech underscored the value of strong partnerships between the military and civilian sectors, and the positive impact such collaborations have on both communities.
